A Family owned, Family run, Family Friendly Lodge,located on scenic Highway 4 near Bear Valley and 22 miles east of Arnold, 3 miles west of Bear Valley Village. Easy access off Highway 4. Close to Lake Alpine.
The Lodge is transitioning to no longer being B & B and is now offering a FULLY EQUIPPED GUEST KITCHEN that’s available to all guests during their stay. However, during our transitional period an optional continental breakfast is still available with a $5 per person donation. Served daily from 7 am to 10 am.
Outside BBQ is also available, as well as outdoor gas fire place for marshmallow roast!!!

DAY VISITORS WELCOME – $20 from 10 am to 6 pm. Includes use of picnic area, even a laundry drier if you need to dry wet clothes – $1.00 in quarters. Park your car and go for a hike or bike ride, then come back into the common room and enjoy your homemade lunch or snack. Tamarack Lodge is not a restaurant so bring your own food, although we do have some soda’s, bottled water, granola bars, chip and ice cream sandwiches or pops each for a $1.00 Dog welcome outside only – under voice or lease control. All the above activities are done at your own risk and Tamarack Lodge is not held liable for any mishaps.
As of June 24th Highway 4 is open to the East end of Lake Alpine but is still closed over Ebbetts Pass. Spicer, Meadow road down to Utica, Union and Spicer reservoirs is also closed due to road work.
